The Great Shock
"Your problem is not in the blood⦠nor in the cells⦠your problem is in the environment between them = the interstitial tissue. Cells do not collapse⦠but the environment in which they live is what suffocates first."
β Dr. Diaa Al-Awadi, may Allah have mercy on him
Water Distribution in Your Body
π§ The body = 50 liters of water divided like this:
- 30 liters β inside cells (60% of water)
- 16.5 liters β interstitial tissue (the real environment for cells) β
- 3.5 liters β only blood plasma
π΄ The shocking meaning: The interstitial tissue (16.5 liters) is the largest component of the cells' external environment β and it controls their health or disease. Blood (3.5 liters) is just a carrier!
How Does Exchange Happen?
βοΈ Complete balance law: Any substance in the blood = the same concentration in the interstitial tissue. This is why monitoring blood tests reflects the state of all your body's cells.
π¬οΈ Oxygen, COβ, and water: Move freely across membranes according to pressure and concentration differences β there are no "gates" for them.
Why Does Swelling Happen?
π΄ Swelling is not "excess water" β but an imbalance in equilibrium: Filtration from blood exceeds reabsorption β Fluid accumulates in the interstitial tissue β Swelling β Cells suffocate.
The "Compartments" Theory
Swelling in one place is always caused in the compartment (region) before it:
- ποΈ Eye swelling β problem in chest area or lymph glands
- 𦡠Foot swelling β pressure or congestion in abdomen and pelvis
- π§ High brain pressure β imbalance in head lymphatic drainage
- π« Abdominal swelling β liver or colon failure to drain fluids
π‘ The rule: Do not treat the place of swelling β treat its source in the previous compartment.
The Lymphatic System β The Biological Vacuum
β The lymphatic system is what pulls excess fluid from the interstitial tissue and returns it to the circulatory system. It is a "vacuum" that prevents cell poisoning.
It works ideally when: Negative chest pressure (deep breathing) + intestines working well + physical movement.
β When lymph fails: Swelling begins β then clots β then tissue collapse. Chronic sitting and lack of movement weaken the lymphatic system greatly.
Kidneys β The Real Guardians
π’ Amazing numbers: The kidneys process 180 liters daily = they wash the 20 liters outside the cells 9 times a day! This ensures the cleanliness of the interstitial tissue continuously.
β οΈ When kidneys are exhausted: With medications, pollutants, and harmful foods β Waste accumulates in the interstitial tissue β Cells live in a polluted environment β Chronic diseases.
πΏ Fasting rests the kidneys: During fasting, toxic inputs decrease β Kidneys focus on purifying the accumulated interstitial tissue β True renewal of the cellular environment.
